"Don't let a blip become a trend".
These are the immortal words of my LighterLife Counsellor and, without doubt, my subconscious heard that. I may have put weight on for two, possibly three weeks in a row BUT that phrase made sense to me and brought me up sharp (if that makes sense).
I don't know the secrets to this weight holding malarkey...YET (very NLP!)...but, right now, constant monitoring does seem to help and stop me going completely off the rails.
My long-term goal has not changed - maintaining this weight, eating intuitively, NOT freaking out if I eat something off-piste, feeling really good in my own skin (definitely not there yet) and feeling that I'd got "there" wherever "there" is.
In the meantime, see if the phrase helps you. A blip (a lapse) is NOT going to jeopardise your efforts; once it's a trend (Development comes to mind....), it's much, much harder to get back onto the programme and back to a weight that feels right.
This week my learning is this...one indiscretion needn't be the end BUT it is very easy to let one become two become three, etc etc. And before you know it, you've had three not so great days. Not horrendous but not great, either.
So, don't let a blip become a trend! Here endeth the lesson.
Just what I needed to read! I'm writing down my food again and it helps so much - you can't deceive yourself so easily. I'm making garlic bread for the troops tonight - if I can pass that by, my blip will not have become a trend!
